Pissed off!

I'm damn pissed off by RMIT Australian lecturers!

All they know is to push their responsibilities to our local lecturers and administrative staff whenever we have problems. As we know that RMIT University is an Australia university which set up in SIM Singapore, so most of times we have to look for those Australian lecturers if we have any problems because our local lecturers cannot do anything without their permissions. Okay, now we have a very serious problem regarding TURNITIN system (in case you guys don't know, it is a system which can check any plagiarism in our work), so I emailed to our AUSTRALIAN course coordinator about this problem. Look at this email...

Dear all,
In responding to some student's emails about Turnitin's submission, I would like to remain you about my advice during my lecture in SIM. Please do not contact teaching staff for any Turnitin problem as we can not help but contacting the software’s help desk.
I also advised you about submission time as there is a large number of essays are submited during these weeks. This likely has impacted on the system.
The BUSM 3201 account has been created for multiple submission. It means students are allowed to re-submit your work as many time as you wish. Any student faced with a re-submission problem then should contact the help desk or just simply wait to re-submit again later.
Please do not contact us for any help with Turnitin.
I hope I have made my point clear by this email and I wisk you all the best.

Regards
Ngan Collins

See what did I say just now? They like to push responsibilities to anybody. Since he said that I should look for the software helpdesk or RMIT helpdesk, so I emailed to TURNITIN helpdesk...Please look at this reply...

Dear Ce,

Thank you for contacting the Turnitin Help Desk regarding our service. The dates for the assignment (which are set by your instructor) are:

Start date: 08-10-10 3:24PM
Due date: 08-17-10 11:59PM
Post date: 08-18-10 12:00AM

Resubmissions are allowed until the due date and the instructor is allowing submissions past the date. However, with these settings, since it's past the due date already, you cannot resubmit to the assignment anymore. The instructor will either need to delete your submission or add an additional assignment.

Thank you for using Turnitin.

Sincerely,
Daniel

See, AGAIN, they pushed back the responsibility to that Australian lecturer.

The bad thing is that our deadline is 23 August 2010, and the problem is still not resolved yet. We are feeling so helpless now, nobody wants to help us... so what can we do now? Can we just bring this case and "feedback" to MOE? I am considering of doing it, even though SIM is not entirely under Singapore government. Please la, if you Australian lecturers don't want to get pestered by us, DON'T SET UP THIS KIND OF SYSTEM! Why are you all so stubborn? Since last year, there were many problems occurring in this system, and you still want to use this system?!?

Seriously, I really got nothing to comment about their stubbornness!
