Maritime Experiential Museum

Hi peeps! I wanted to share my feelings about our trip to Maritime Experiential Museum, but it took me forever to upload all the photos here. Thus, please go to my Facebook to view the photos. Heehee, anyway it was really a great experience for knowing the history of Admiral Zheng He. In case you don't know who he is, I'm gonna explain a little bit about him.

Admiral Zheng He (1371-1433) was born in Jinning Country, Kunming City of Yunnan Province. He was originally surnamed 'Ma', and later was known as 'San Bao' (Three Treasures). He was raised as a Muslim, and started to study the teachings of Islam at an early age. However, during their military cleansing of the remnants of the Yuan Dynasty (1279-1368) in Yunnan around 1381, this young boy was captured and castrated by Ming Dynasty forces. He was then forced to join the army, where he excelled and earned his name 'Zheng'. He travelled to over thirty countries with over 300 ships, including the treasure fleet, and 28,000 sailors. He is credited as the first man to establish a sea route directing the western Pacific and the Indian Ocean worlds.

Oh well, you guys may find out more about him through history books. For me, I will find some time to watch those historical shows to find out more about him, because I scared that I might fall asleep when reading books. HAHAAHA!

Anyway, it's worth for this experience! The admission ticket will definitely be cheaper if you apply free RWS membership outside the RWS casino. Without the membership, you have to pay $11 for an admission ticket. HOWEVER, with the membership, you only need to pay $6! Worth it not?

Glamabox - March 2012 ♥

It's Glamabox time again!

Yeah, I just received March 2012's Glamabox this afternoon! They created the March Glamabox around a "Spring Garden" theme embodying fresh, natural and back-to-nature ingredients. Let's see what's inside...

Crabtree & Evelyn Gardeners 60-second Hand Recovery Cream 25g
(Retail Price: S$45 - 100g)

Finally, I have a chance to try one of the Crabtree & Evelyn products now. According to the product description list, this hand cream consists of natural ingredients such as sea salt, shea butter, lavender oil and oatmeal, which can cleanse, exfoliate and moisturise our hands. Good, I can't wait to try it!

Clinque Colour Palette: Colour Surge Eye Shadow Duo and Blush
(Retail Price: S$28)

I'm so happy to see this! Yes, a well-known brand for its allegy-tested products and 100% fragrance free!

Nature's Moisturising Toner with Green Tea and Orange Water 30ml
(Retail Price: S$42 - 200ml)

You may not heard of this brand before. Haha, me too. Anyway, this product is made in Italy. I shall try this toner after I finish my current one.

Organix Moroccan Argan Oil Shampoo 88.7ml
(Retail Price: S$16 - 385ml)

Unlike toothpaste, you cannot keep changing your shampoo. The best is, to stick to the suitable shampoo for daily hair wash. Thus, I have been changing a few brands of shampoo to search for the suitable brand for my daily hair wash. Certain brands of shampoo may work well for other people, but not for me. For example, Pantene shampoo makes my hair scalp itchy and Sunsilk makes me drop a lot of hair. To be honest, I like the smell of Sunsilk shampoo, and I really want to use it again. Okay, as for this bottle of shampoo, I shall try once after I finish my current one. Hopefully, it doesn't ruin my hair. *fingers crossed*

Lierac Paris Travel Set - Exclusive Ultra Jour Wrinkle-filling Day Cream/ Exclusive Intense Nuit Wrinkle-filling Night Cream/ Intensive Lifting Serum - 5ml each
(Retail Price: range from S$97 to S$126 - 30ml/50ml)

I'm gonna give this travel set to Mummy. This is more suitable for her, I guess. Hahaha! I don't think I wanna start using anti-wrinkle skincare products in the mid-20s yet.

Okay, that's all I wanna update for this March Glamabox :)

Isetan Private Sales 2012!

It was another fulfilling shopping day for Elvina and I again! Of course, we happily bagged a lot of skincare products back home! We never failed to get Clarins products whenever there are private sales. However, it was disappointing that there is no more 20% discount during private sales at Isetan.

Anyway, I just wanna show what I bought here...

Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser
for Normal or Combination Skin

It was my second purchase for this cleanser and it cost me $42. Though it is expensive, this is definitely an awesome cleanser. Another thing is, I haven't finish using my first bottle since I bought it on May 2011. Ermm I think I can only finish my first bottle by June 2012 or later. Usually for normal brands of cleanser such as Bio-Essence (I used to use this brand of cleanser), I could easily finish using it within less than half a year and those normally cost $20-$25, depending on where I purchased from. SO, why should I not invest in recognised brand of cleanser which is customised to my skin type and works well for my skin? It's definitely worth for the buy! For your information, you can actually go to any Clarins counters to get samples to try and test which facial cleanser works well for you. Please don't be shy about it, because they are really generous in giving samples!

Clarins White Plus HP Whitening Velvet Emulsion

Finally, I bought this moisturiser! I had been thinking about getting it since last year after I tried the samples. And of course, I regretted for not getting this last year! This was because Clarins has just increased its product prices this year, and Isetan has stopped its 20% discount! This moisturiser used to cost $90, and NOW $100! Plus, 20% off which mean that only $72 nett. Now, I got to pay full amount of $100 for it, and only received $10 Isetan voucher for next purchase. Huge difference, right?! For your information, you can get 5-day trial samples of this moisturiser from any Clarins counter. Please grab them fast! While stock lasts! AND, I actually finished using this 5-day trial samples within more than 10 days! You don't have to apply a lot, seriously.

FREE gifts!!

Okay, as mentioned earlier that we both bought a lot of stuffs from Clarins, so we got a complimentary 9-piece gift set of skincare/bodycare products (worth $205) from Clarins with minimum spending of $230. Thus, we shared this 9-piece set among ourselves. Heehee!
It included:
- Body Shaping Cream,
- White Plus HP Intensive Whitening Smoothing Serum,
- White Plus HP Pearl-to-Cream Brightening Cleanser,
- Pure and Radiant Mask,
- Advanced Extra-Firming Neck Cream,
- UV Plus HP Day Screen High Protection SPF40 (Neutral version),
- White Plus HP Whitening Pure Aqua-Milk,
- Shaping Facial Lift Lipo-drain Serum ,
- (okay, I can't remember the last one) >> Obviously, this was taken by Elvina HAHAHAHA!

Okay, I got the first 5 products whereas Elvina got the last 4 products as mentioned above. Yeah, we were happy with our purchases at Clarins!

Next...

Shiseido Eyelash Curler

I was so tempted to buy it when I heard a lot of good reviews about this brand of eyelash curler. Okay, I admitted that my old and cheap eyelash curler hurt me a lot whenever I wanted to curl my eyelash, so I have stopped using it anymore. My old eyelash curler cost me less than $5, and this Shiseido one cost freaking $18! Anyway, I tried this eyelash curler...Erm... I think it's not bad only. Not as fantastic as what other people said, maybe my eyelashes are too short for any eyelash curlers uh? Okay, I shall listed this eyelash curler as an impulse purchase. BOO!

Lastly...
Fancl Dietary Fibre Mix

At first, I did not know that Fancl sells such supplements because I always have impressions that Fancl sells facial care products only. I only noticed such supplement after I got to know this product as shown below.

Suntory BIFIOUS + XYLO-OLIGO Healthier Live Digestive System
比菲德氏菌 + 木寡醣

Okay, I watched 女人我最大, 麻辣天后宮 and other Taiwan variety shows which recommended this product for all women who have a common problem of having constipation which causes bloated tummy and increased weight. I was tempted to buy this product, however, it is really too expensive. A box of 30 packets (for 30 days' consumption) costs $67, and I can only get it online because this Japan company does not have a physical shop space. Oh well, I took quite a long time to consider to buy or not. But when I saw the similar product at Fancl counter, I gave up this brand! HAHAHA!

Firstly, Fancl Dietary Fibre Mix has the same functions with Suntory Bifious + Xylo-Oligo, such as maintaining and keeping our digestive systems healthier. Secondly, I can mix Fancl Dietary Fibre Mix with my favourite beverages such as coffee or milk, or even with soup! So, it's the same as Suntory Bifious + Xylo-Oligo! And, it has no weird taste when mixing it with any beverages or food. Thirdly, Fancl costs $31.50 only!! Half price cheaper than Suntory! And I can get it anytime and anywhere I like, as there are many Fancl counters available in Singapore. Lastly, Fancl also has 30 packets in a box. Worth it or not? SO, I bought it without hesitation (of course, after asking Fancl advisor for advice).

Overall, I'm happy with my purchases!

Good stuffs to share!

Hello everyone! I wanna share something good with you here. We girls usually tend to spend a lot of money on skincare and bodycare, however, we sometimes overlook some areas such as foot-care! Ugly feet can be a huge "turn-off" to guys ok!

Here the remedy...

Foot Exfoliating Peeling Mask

I bought this box from GMarket, which the seller sold it at $9.90 per box. It was very expensive as compared to facial masks. Nonetheless, I was skeptical about its after-effects. After reading the good reviews given by people who have tried it, I decided to give a try.

Ingredients

How does it work?

This is not exaggerated because...

After trying it...

LOOK AT MY FOOT! (after 2-3 days)

Isn't it amazing? It may be a bit disgusting, but the end results are really good. Furthermore, it can remove the bad odour of your feet! :) And you don't have to use it frequently, you just need to use it once every 2-3 months. That explains why foot masks are more expensive than facial masks.

Watsons Bamboo Vinegar and Milk Exfoliating Foot Masks

I bought these foot masks from Watsons sales which these masks are selling at $13.90 per box (Buy 1 Get 1 Free, with any purchases above $15). Since Baby bought his wrist support at $18+, so I was able to get these two boxes for $13.90 only. Hopefully, the effects are similar to the first one I used.

Anyway, I'm gonna share my artpiece with you guys...
