Post-Holiday Shopping Hauls!

Guess what? I realised that I really spent a lot of money on shopping for the past 3 months. I just can't control myself... Alright, I bought a lot of skincare products and cosmetics and bla bla blahh...

Nivea SOS Intensive Hand Balm

This really helps a lot when my hands are dry and dehydrated. My hands are prone to dryness, and my condition is so serious that my hands doesn't look like the hands of a 23-year old girl. Okay, I must say my mum's hands are much better than me. Nonetheless, my condition has improved a lot after I used this hand balm for a week. This product works a lot better than those expensive lotions uh huh. Yes, I swear!

Loreal Youth Code Pre-essence AND
Loreal White Perfect Transparent Rosy Whitening Night Cream

I heard many good reviews about the Youth Code pre-essence. I was a bit skeptical of using it. Out of curiosity, I bought it at Watsons when it was on sale. That was, I was able to buy the night cream at $9.90 if I purchased the pre-essence which cost $39.90. I was amazed that I could see results after using this pre-essence for a few days. Yeah, this pre-essence helps to boost up the "absorption" of the skincare products such as serum and day/night moisturiser. This should be used after applying toner. Well, I think it's worth it! As for the night cream, I haven't use it yet.

Clarins Pore Minimising Serum

Hmm this was recommended by Elvina as it worked well for her, and I went ahead to buy it since I do have enlarged pores. In fact, the result isn't visible ya. A little bit disappointing, and I may not continue using again after finishing this bottle.

ZA True White Essence (for acne/pimple scars)

Honestly, I didn't know why I bought this product. Impulse purchasing again! Well, it works well for me! When squeezing my pimples, I tend to have pimple scars or dark spots after that. However, this really helps to lighten my pimple scars or dark spots. I mean LIGHTEN, not completely disappear. You may like to try it if you want.

Maybelline The Falsies mascara

I heard many raves about this mascara. Hmm after trying it, I must say that the advertisement really exaggerated about its effects! As compared to its other ranges of mascaras, I think that the effects of its other ranges are better than this. Feeling so disappointed with this purchase, I bought another brand, which also one of my favourites for mascara. That is, Majolica Majorca! :)

Majolica Majorca Lash King

Yes, a new product! I bought this when Watsons was having 20% + 10% (members only). I fell in love with Majolica Majorca's range of mascaras when I first started using Lash Enamel Glamour Volume On. Its mascaras never smudge on my oily eyelids, and I always use it to apply on my lower lashes. If I use other brands to apply my lower lashes, I will definitely become a panda at the end of the day. As for Lash King, it is much better than The Falsies, that's my opinion.

Maybelline eyeshadow (Pink-Brown range)

Kate eyeshadow (Purple range)

Sweet colours! However, I need eye primer to make the colours long-lasting and DARKER! Tadah~

Urban Decay Eyeshadow Prime Potion (Original)

This is really a good buy! Firstly, it makes your eyeshadow colours more vibrant. Secondly, your eyeshadow can last throughout the end of the day. Thirdly, your eyeshadow will not smudge, especially those with oily eyelids. Lastly, it saves your money! Why am I saying this? Look at the image below...

The darkest colour (with primer) and the lightest colour (without primer)

Here it is, I used the same colour (navy blue) for trying. With primer, I only applied 2 coats of eyeshadow to get this result (darkest colour)! Whereas, without primer, I applied 5 coats of eyeshadow to get that result (lightest colour)! So, with UD primer potion, you don't have to purchase a new palette of eyeshadow frequently. Furthermore, your eyeshadow will not show its "true colours" without primer! Which one looks more like navy colour? You judge it :)

For your information, there are 4 different kinds of UD primer potions. They are Eden, Original, Greed and Sin.
Eden: Nude matte finish (usually use together with matte eyeshadow colours)
Original: Nude (usually use together with any eyeshadow colours)
Greed: Shimmering yellow gold
Sin: Champagne shimmer
Both Greed and Sin will add more shimmery to your eyeshadow and can be used as highlighters. Other than these, they are the same as Original one.

NYX Eye/Eyebrow Pencil

Unfortunately, this brand is not available in Singapore so I have to go online searching for it. I bought this from GMarket. In fact, this brand is just a normal USA brand for cosmetics. You can buy them at relatively cheap prices in USA, but in Singapore, these sellers sell them at high prices because of its shipping costs from USA to Singapore. Nonetheless, I still can't resist temptation to buy it. I must say it's quite a good quality product!

E.L.F Hypershine Lipgloss

E.L.F. makeup products are very cheap! However, I don't get used to applying lipgloss because I don't like my lips to be sticky and my hair will stick to my lips when wind blows... So, it's just another impulse purchase again. HAHA!

E.L.F Foundation Brush

Do you guys believe this cheap brush (freaking $3.90 only) can have same quality as other good brands of brushes such as Ecotools and M.A.C.? Yes, I was amazed by it! It doesn't prick my face and the brush is super soft and smooth. I was very satisfied with this foundation brush! As compared to The Face Shop, E.L.F. brushes are a lot better! I once bought a blush brush from TFS, it cost more than $15 (if I didn't remember wrongly) BUT it pricked and hurt my face! So, expensive stuffs sometimes doesn't mean GOOD quality uh?

Versace Bright Crystal Eau De Toilette - 30ml

A new product, and expensive! But I like the smell, so do Baby.

The Face Shop Eyebrows Sponge

For those beginners, this definitely helps you to draw and blend your eyebrows! As stated as its name, it used "sponge" instead of crayon or pencil as the tip. Well, the question now is how do I use it? Very simple, the crayon actually hides in the cap. So when I cover the tip with the cap, the sponge will touch the inner part of the cap and then the sponge will be "dipped" with crayon. Sounds complicated? Okay, just know that you can use it straightaway when once you open the cap. HAHAHA!

The Face Shop Fake Eyelashes

Its fake eyelashes are relatively cheap and soft. This was my second purchase of fake eyelashes from The Face Shop. I like it!

The Face Shop Nail Polishes

New added colours! Okay, it's my weakness that I can't resist temptation to buy nail polishes when I see the display of colourful nail polishes!

The Face Shop Nail Dot Pen

This was another second purchase. I have white and black colours now! But you have to be very careful when opening the cap, because I nearly spilled the white one. Yea, looks like liquid paper spilling out on my table -.-'"

Okay, that's all I wanna update for now. Heee :)

Our 3rd Year Anniversary ♥

Okay, finally I shall post an entry about our 3rd year anniversary celebration. We celebrated our anniversary on the actual date, 1st February. Yes, I know I'm taking my own sweet time to update this post. And I am not going to post all the photos here, it's hell a lot ok! HAHAHA!

We kept our celebration as simple as we could, because Baby needed to work in the morning and he could only took half-day off on that day. So... we decided to catch a movie "Jack and Jill" at Lido Shaw House.

While waiting for the movie showtime, we sat at the sofa outside the theaters... CAMWHORE!

ME!

BABY!

WE!

Second one...

SO...The movie was super hilarious which we enjoyed watching it. Okay, just when we decided to go for shopping before dinner, Baby gave me the Guess watch which I wanted to get last year!

Are you ready to see my watch?

Tadah!
*bling bling*

Isn't it pretty?

Okay, after trying it, I found the watch bands are too loose for me so we had to go to Guess outlet to make hole punctures on the three bands. At first, we went down to Isetan Scotts but the sales promoter of Guess was not around so we went to Ion Orchard. Finally, hole punctures were done! I'm happy with it!

It's time for our fine dining at Ion Orchard Sky Park! Call me a mountain turtle, cos I didn't know that there is 55th/56th level in Ion Orchard building. However, in order to get up there, we had to proceed to Level 4 Reception Counter. As Baby already made reservation, so we needed to look for the staff there, and she brought us up. Wow! So shiok, as if we were the VIPs of the day.

Day View

We are here Up high! This was indeed a sky-high dining for us! I love the view!

Anyway, Salt Grill & Sky Bar by Luke Mangan brings Modern Australian cuisine to Singapore. The Chef Luke aims for a setting that is stylist, relaxed, welcoming and showcases the best of Australian produce.

Here the menu...

For such a high-class and comfortable atmosphere, I was definitely not surprised to see how expensive the dishes are. Well, we were served by an Australian waitress. She is a very polite and warm person who tried to make us feel comfortable and explained every detail in the menu. After explaining the details to us, she served us drinks and let us decide on our dishes. We took quite some time to decide on our dishes because they served very limited number of signature dishes created by Chef Luke.

After ordering our food, we started to look around and camwhored while waiting for our drinks and food... :)

Baby took this picture for me

Taken by a waiter

Another one

Raisin Bread and Wheat Bread
(dip with Olive Oil and Spices)

These slices of bread were served to us as a "welcome" dish. Well, I don't like to dip with olive oil and spices because the spices tasted weird to me. But Baby likes the spices...

Baby's White Wine

That Australian waitress recommended Baby to match white wine with his choice of main dish, so Baby listened to her advice. Before she poured a glass for Baby, she let him to take a sip of white wine and asked him if he's okay with it before she proceeded to pour a glass for him. Excellent service! :)

Looking at Baby enjoying his wine, I also wanted to order a drink for myself. That was...

Lychee Martini
(an non-alcoholic drink)

While waiting for our appetisers, I took many pictures...

The lamp

I love this lamp next to our table. So pretty!

Sunlight shines on me :)

Our appetisers here...

Sashimi, Ginger, Eschallot and Goat Feta
(Baby's)

Sea Tasting - Kingfish, Scallop and Tuna
(Mine)

I love my appetiser! Baby love my appetiser too! He said that my appetiser got a variety of seafood to eat. Heehee...

Then after half an hour or so, our main dishes were served...

Barramundi Fillet with Sydney Spices, Coconut and Lime
(Baby's)

Slow Cook Free Range Pork Belly, Broth of Smoked Hock, White Beans, Oven-Dried Tomato, Chilli and Green Olives
(Mine)

Okay, the names of dishes are really too long because they are trying to tell us what does every dish consist of.

Evening View

It's already at evening when we were eating. Many people started to come in for their dinner, and ya, we looked silly taking pictures everywhere. Haha alright, to them, this restaurant may be just "food court" to them if they always come to this restaurant frequently. Rich people eh! But we are not, we seldom have chances to eat like the rich people. Tsk tsk!

Satisfied. bloated me!

It's getting darker...

After finishing our main dishes, we roamed around the restaurant to take pictures. Yes, they got pathways for us to walk and view the night scenery.

Hello Orchard!

Another side...

Well, we went back to our table and continued drinking...

SMILE :)

Okay, we settled our bills after finished our drinks.

Freaking $228.34!

Good-bye, Salt Grill & Sky Bar!

Yes, although we spent a bomb on such an extravagant dinner, it's definitely worth to try its signature dishes and enjoy the romantic ambience with your loved one ♥

Glamabox - Valentine's Day ♥

Helloooo!! Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! And I'm sorry that I did not update my blog frequently... I will try to keep my blog updated frequently, hopefully. *fingers crossed*

In my previous post, I mentioned about the Glamabox right? Okay, I received the Valentine's Glamabox yesterday! Woohoo! Their services are really good because they provide door-to-door service, making sure that we customers receive our packages in good condition.

Here the postman came knocking on the door... and pass this package to me

After receiving the package from the postman, I can't wait to open it! Tadah~

Such a lovely box inside!

They wrapped everything so nicely inside. The sweetest thing is, they included the greeting letter and product description sheet for every Glama-girl. Of course, the instruction sheet is for us to know what the products we received and how we are supposed to use them. Sweet, isn't it?

Ready to take a peep inside...?

Tadah~

Okay, I see 6 items in the box! Heehee, here they are...

As this is the February (Valentine's) Glamabox, they gave a little gift for every Glama-girl - a limited-edition Glamabox charm. We can wear this lovely charm as a bracelet charm, necklace pendant, or even a mobile accessory! It's really looks cute and chic! ♥

Next, this is Stephen James organic beauty/smart/berry bar. As what stated in its name, it is a healthy food product. This organic beauty/smart/berry bar complements women's health with organic iron and improves skin appearance by restoring the pink to our cheeks (as stated in the description sheet). Okay, to be honest, I don't like to eat this kinda food, be it oats/cereal bars or fruit bars that you can buy from supermarkets. So hmmm, maybe I should force myself to eat this.

Stephen James Organic Beauty/Smart/Berry Bar - 39.5g (worth SGD7)

Okay, after eating that healthy and organic snack, this product will be useful to clean our teeth and lips. That is, Talika Smile & Kiss 2 in 1 Treatment. It is a handy double-sided applicator makes it easy to keep our teeth sparkling and lips glittering, luscious and looking their best (as stated in the description sheet). *tink tink* How good it is, I am not sure yet. But, this product is the most expensive item of all other items.

Talika Smile & Kiss 2 in 1 Treatment - 6ml (worth SGD55)

Besides taking care of our teeth and lips, we need to pamper our hair too. Here it is, the Phytodefrisant Botanical hair relaxing balm which specially designed for relaxing the hair and softening permed and naturally frizzy hair (as stated in the description sheet). Wow! This product has come to my rescue!

Phytodefrisant Botanical Hair Relaxing Balm - 15ml (worth SGD5)

Next, this is Essonce Squalane oxygen regenerating mask which helps to revitalise and moisturise our skin. Don't belittle this mask! It actually use French production and technology standards! It's a high-quality facial mask :)

Last not but least, Lierac bust-lifting modelage. It contains hazelnut oligopeptides to help restructure the bust's shape with a collagen boosting action, while Japanese mandarin orange extract reduces and prevents the appearance of brown spots on the skin of this area (as stated in the description sheet).

Lierac Bust Lifting Modelage - 15ml (worth SGD15)

So by looking at the prices of these products, do you think it's worth it to pay just SGD18 for this Glamabox to pamper yourselves and be pretty inside-out? Yes, I am definitely more than happy to buy Glamabox and try every product chosen by Lisa S. and her colleagues ♥
