25 December 2010

Merry Christmas 2010!

First of all, let me wish you guys "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!!! How did you spend your Christmas season? For me, it's rather nice and peaceful :)

On 23rd December, I spent my day with Baby. We watched Yogi Bear movie at Plaza Singapura. It was coincidence that Yogi and Boo-boo were there TOO!! But they are not cute at all. I still love the way they look in the movie HAHAHAHA! I love Boo-boo! Pardon me for the blurry pictures, because I did not bring my camera on that day.

After a day out with Baby, I went home earlier to bake Double Chocolate Chips Cupcakes. I brought them to Popular Whitesands the next day. Hmmmm I think that it can be better hahahaha~

On 24th December, it's Christmas Eve! Jo's birthday falls on Christmas eve too! We had our lunch at LerkThai with Katherine, Ven Huey, Yhen Yhen, Wan Feng and Ma Wei. Jo brought a lot of chocolates and tibits for us.. So sweet of her! I got this Meiji chocolate from Sylvia and Chelsea, and some sweets from Chee Liang and Ping Cheong.

Tadah~ Mummy received a log cake from her boss. HAHAHA! Looks nice, but don't know delicious or not... Because I have not try it yet. It is damn fattening to eat this for supper can..!

So, you can say that my holiday season is overloaded with chocolate & sweet... :) Heeehee I am going to shop for new year clothes later, to be precise! I am happy that I do not have to work on Christmas Day :)

16 December 2010

A happy day!

Whee! Baby and I made a special trip to NEX @ Serangoon Central to meet Winnie The Pooh & his friends (Piglet, Eeyore & Tigger). I have uploaded more photos on Facebook, and ya just click on my profile to view them (if you want to...)

Hahaha I know that it's very childish of me doing this. Anyway, NEX is relatively huge. However, it was so crowded that we don't really have the mood to shop around. After taking enough photos of Pooh & his friends, we went to this restaurant, Lena's (also under MOF). It is different from MOF as it specialises in Italian/Western cuisine.

Mushroom Soup with Garlic Bread

Buffalo Wings

Ham & Mushroom Spaghetti

Bacon & Mushroom Spaghetti

Overall, the food is okay-okay. The best thing is that you can choose from 4 different bases for your pasta.

Baby bought a 50ml GUCCI Rush perfume for me... I love the smell :) *happy*

Alright, I shall end today's entry here! Good night people!

09 December 2010

Another happy day

I have made brownies! But too bad, it did not turn out very nice! The smell is heaven, but it's just too sweet. Perhaps, I should cut down the amount of light muscovado sugar. And, the brownies are a little bit hard outside hmmm.... Oh well, this box of brownies is for Baby, and I made a round one for my colleagues. Haha, I have been thinking whether I should present it to them for testing or not... You know, it doesn't feel great hearing many bad comments from them Hahahaha!

Yada yada, just bring the brownies to work la! Hahaha it will be damn wasted if I don't...

Anyway, Baby and I watched Rapunzel movie last night. Nice and sweet movie, and ya the ending is always 'happily ever after'... The chameleon is so cute :)

Alright, there will be a lot of nice movies coming out soon in late December. I'm gonna have a movie marathon...Heehee :)

By the way, my parents have finally made up their minds on changing our old bulky TV to a brand new Samsung LED TV, like finally~ If there is no problem with our old TV, they probably may not even consider of buying the energy-saving LED TV. Hahaha my brother and I are the ones who keep psycho-ing our parents about the good things about LED TV and keep complaining about the faults of our old TV. Hahahaha *happy*

03 December 2010

It's gonna come to 2011 soon...

Whee everyone! Christmas Day is approaching soon...The town is brimming with beautiful festive lights now, and every place is crowded with people shopping for goodies and presents and taking memorable photos with their loved ones :)

Oh well, 2010 is going to come to the end soon~ So what have you been doing this year? Gonna start to plan new revolution for 2011? For me, I have not planned any yet Hahaha! Anyway, for those who have encountered a lot of unhappy events during 2010, throw them away from your mind and embrace a great new year ahead :)

By the way, I am free on 25th December! SO date me out, date me out!

19 November 2010

Reckless drivers :(

I really cried yesterday...know why? I nearly knocked down by a few vehicles when I was crossing road after work last night. It was a cross-road so even there are traffic lights, many cars will be driving from different directions too. The GREEN-MAN lighted when I was crossing,. However, those drivers from other direction thought that there is no car and they can right-turn to my direction, AND they didn't even noticed me crossing road! Ya, two or three motorcyclists and drivers drove just right in front of me. There were some vehicles STOPPED close to my body when they saw me, WHAT THE FUCK! I stood in the middle of the road because I cannot walked back (there were cars behind me) or to the front (as the taxi-driver sped and I thought he might just knocked me off)... Although I had crossed the road "safely", my heart really pounded very fast. I broke down when I told my papa about it. He said that 我吓破胆了... He asked me to drink cold water and pray to gods to calm myself down.

Until now, I was still thinking of that incident...

07 November 2010

Out with Baby ♥

Finally, I met Baby yesterday :) We did not go out for date for about 1 month! Hahaa! Yeah, I had cooped myself at home for almost 3 weeks to study for my examination, and Mama arranged me for work immediately on the day after my last paper. So, yup 1 month...

He drove to Tampines and met me for lunch, movie and dinner. We bought our movie tickets before having lunch at Ding Tai Feng. During lunch, he told me a lot of happenings around him. While waiting for movie time, we went shopping. I bought a lot of stuffs at NTUC and Baby bought me chocolates ♥. Then we went to buy his bolster at BHG. After that, we put everything in his car first before going for our movie. Yup, we watched Megamind at Shaw Century.

It was a hilarious movie, a great movie for you to relax your mind. Haha! That fish is damn funny (but looks scary).

After movie, we went to have dinner. I was damn full after eating medium pack of popcorns so I skipped dinner. Then after dinner we went on walking around the malls. Haha, suddenly I felt hungry so we settled our supper at food court. I had my roti prate, it's NAISE :) Ya, home-sweet-home after supper, as I was very tired...

02 November 2010

Work work Work!

Yeah, my exam was over! My holiday is starting from today onwards till January 2011. But, I have to start working tomorrow onwards argh~ I thought that Mama will arrange me to work next week, I think perhaps they really need people during the peak period (November/December). I can imagine the long queues, and parents are buying piles of assessment books and textbooks for their children. Yada yada, it is very common to see that most of the parents are anxious and paranoid for their children school work. Whatever it is, it's time for me to earn money for my shopping expenses!! I feel so excited :)

28 October 2010

Ya, this is very true when I am studying for examination :(

24 October 2010

Examination Fever :(

I have been studying hard for examination for the past 2 weeks. Argh! I feel like burning the lecture notes man! My memory is getting poorer and poorer, as I cannot memorise everything and I will forget what I have memorised. Now, I only have less than 24 hours to memorise HRM notes!

This is my examination time-table:
Human Resource Management - 25.10.2010, 2.15pm - 5.30pm
Prices & Markets - 26.10.2010, 10.15am - 12.30pm
Organisational Theory - 02.11.2010, 2.15pm to 5.30pm

I really can't wait for 02.11.2010....!!!

10 October 2010

Eat Pray Love ♥

I watched Eat Pray Love with Baby yesterday. It is quite an awesome movie :) If I am not wrong, this is actually a life-story of the writer herself. I like the part when she went to Italy to enjoy life, this is where the funniest part of the movie. HAHAHA! So you guys should watch it :)

Alright, I will be having examination from 25 November onwards...Time is running out ARGH!

04 October 2010

Happy 21st to Min Xing!

Whee! I attended Minxing's 21st party on Saturday. Another 21st party upcoming in October...I'm broke!!

26 September 2010

My first makeover by Paul & Joe/ Mei Ching's birthday celebration

Last month, I purchased Paul & Joe makeover session plus a set of makeup sample for 10$ at BEECONOMIC . As this promotion is ending at October 2010, so I decided to go for it last Friday. This Paul & Joe counter is actually newly-opened at The Heeren (after renovation), perhaps this promotion is to draw attention from the public. Anyway, I asked Elvina to accompany me to go there. Of course, I went there without putting any makeup, and not even moisturiser. We joked that the makeup artist might need to use a lot of concealer to cover my dark circles. HAHAHA!

Alright, before the makeover I took a picture of myself. Errmmm I looked really tired and pale, ya SCARY!

Tadah~ after the makeover, I definitely look better than BEFORE. This is the reason why women always like to spend so much money on cosmetics because they can do magic on our looks!

Okay, this is the sample received from Paul & Joe. Nothing much, just moisturiser/primer pack, makeup remover and foundation pack. This is what I get for what I pay... :)

Then we shopped around Takashimaya for awhile...While munching our finger food, we camwhored. I am not going to post all the photos here HAHAHA!

After hanging out at Orchard, we proceeded to Singapore EXPO for L'oreal/Maybelline Fair. It was really a scary experience for both of us. Those shoppers were grabbing whatever they saw as if all the products are FREE. They pushed and knocked. SO SCARY! So, I stood aside waiting for Elvina to grab her cosmetics. In the end, she did not get her foundation and we got ourselves some lipsticks. Ya, 4 for $20, why not? Haha, our shopping bag was so pathetic while other people's bags were so FULL!

Then we headed back to my house to collect the Oreo Cheesecake :)

Haha, they said that the "whirl" look like Naruto or something, not nice :( So we removed it later... Tadah~ it looked better :)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TO MEI CHING!!

After the celebration, we shopped around Tampines 1 and then, home-sweet-home!

22 September 2010

Busy me...

For the past few weeks, I have been busy rushing for project deadlines and preparing for tests. Finally, I have some time for me to rest :)

Talking about tests, have you ever stopped by the examiners from letting you to go to the toilet? Yes, I did! Despite that they announced that we could not leave earlier even if we completed our tests, but they should not disallow us from going to toilet halfway through the test, right? I was having stomach pain and I really needed to go to toilet, she just smiled and said NO! WHAT THE HELL MAN!?! Seriously, this was damn ridiculous!

Enough of me complaining about this school. After weeks of fighting "war", I feel like baking a cake :) HEEHEE...I have prepared a long shopping list and gonna bake a OREO CHEESECAKE again :) Okay, I shall post the pictures up here next time.

27 August 2010

Grumbling :(

I am super duper tired! Yup, needless to say, it's because of school projects.

PLUS, it's even more irritating if you are working with someone who is being uncooperative, and WANTED us to accommodate to her schedule. It's like DUHH! You think that we have nothing to do is it? We also have our own stuffs to do, alright? For the first time you skipped the project meeting (because you need to rush your individual essay), it's FINE. For the second time, you told the third party that you are not free for the next meeting again. Okay, we decided to accommodate to your schedule. HOWEVER, the main reason is that YOU ARE GOING FOR HOLIDAY??!!! What the hell! So, you expect us to wait till you enjoy yourself then come back for meeting? Seriously, I don't see a need to accommodate to your "personal plans" when we still have other projects to do. I want to complete this project (just 10% weightage only) as soon as possible so that I can do other projects which have higher weightage (30% to 40%).

Do you guys agree that our group can do without this group-mate? Anyway, it's useless to say this... I will just do whatever I want to, and get it done as soon as possible. I really have no time playing with her...

Okay, enough of complaints.

Baby gonna starts his courses on this Saturday :) Yup, after attending these courses, he will be able to find a better job... Hopefully, everything goes smoothly for him. Due to his working shifts and our clashes of work/school schedules, we might not meet frequently. Nonetheless, we will try to make ourselves free for each other :)

p/s: I love the pork legs cooked by Baby's mother :)

Pissed off!

I'm damn pissed off by RMIT Australian lecturers!

All they know is to push their responsibilities to our local lecturers and administrative staff whenever we have problems. As we know that RMIT University is an Australia university which set up in SIM Singapore, so most of times we have to look for those Australian lecturers if we have any problems because our local lecturers cannot do anything without their permissions. Okay, now we have a very serious problem regarding TURNITIN system (in case you guys don't know, it is a system which can check any plagiarism in our work), so I emailed to our AUSTRALIAN course coordinator about this problem. Look at this email...

Dear all,
In responding to some student's emails about Turnitin's submission, I would like to remain you about my advice during my lecture in SIM. Please do not contact teaching staff for any Turnitin problem as we can not help but contacting the software’s help desk.
I also advised you about submission time as there is a large number of essays are submited during these weeks. This likely has impacted on the system.
The BUSM 3201 account has been created for multiple submission. It means students are allowed to re-submit your work as many time as you wish. Any student faced with a re-submission problem then should contact the help desk or just simply wait to re-submit again later.
Please do not contact us for any help with Turnitin.
I hope I have made my point clear by this email and I wisk you all the best.

Regards
Ngan Collins

See what did I say just now? They like to push responsibilities to anybody. Since he said that I should look for the software helpdesk or RMIT helpdesk, so I emailed to TURNITIN helpdesk...Please look at this reply...

Dear Ce,

Thank you for contacting the Turnitin Help Desk regarding our service. The dates for the assignment (which are set by your instructor) are:

Start date: 08-10-10 3:24PM
Due date: 08-17-10 11:59PM
Post date: 08-18-10 12:00AM

Resubmissions are allowed until the due date and the instructor is allowing submissions past the date. However, with these settings, since it's past the due date already, you cannot resubmit to the assignment anymore. The instructor will either need to delete your submission or add an additional assignment.

Thank you for using Turnitin.

Sincerely,
Daniel

See, AGAIN, they pushed back the responsibility to that Australian lecturer.

The bad thing is that our deadline is 23 August 2010, and the problem is still not resolved yet. We are feeling so helpless now, nobody wants to help us... so what can we do now? Can we just bring this case and "feedback" to MOE? I am considering of doing it, even though SIM is not entirely under Singapore government. Please la, if you Australian lecturers don't want to get pestered by us, DON'T SET UP THIS KIND OF SYSTEM! Why are you all so stubborn? Since last year, there were many problems occurring in this system, and you still want to use this system?!?

Seriously, I really got nothing to comment about their stubbornness!

I WANT THIS! ♥

THIS IS DAMN CHIO! I want to get these set of mahjong! The colour of this set of mahjong is JELLY PINK! Sweet :)

Good deal to share

Hey guys, I got something to share with you. Click on this link below!

This is really a good deal for you. I have just ordered Paul & Joe Makeup Kit for $10 :) Good deal, isn't it? This website will update its daily deals everyday, so keep yourselves updated!

I'm half-dead!

There are so many assignments for me to complete within a month! I'm half-dead, alright. I think that I really look like this half-dead panda. I am having insufficient sleep ahhh!!

27 July 2010

How to save our $$$?

Heehee! This is my favourite Chicken Cutlet from BizPark @ TP. Yup, I went back to TP yesterday! Before Sharon and I went to computer lab to print our research, we had our lunch at BizPark. I miss it so badly!

Alright, you must be curious about why two students from SIM-RMIT can go back to TP business computer labs to print their stuffs... Sharon got the TP student ID and password from her friends and we just logged into the computers with it. This is one of our ways to SAVE MONEY!! All we have to bring is PAPERS :) Shhh~

Oh well, it's not as if we are cheapo or what. Firstly, we already spent a bomb on our school fees. Secondly, our school facilities uh uh only have 2 computer labs. Thirdly, our research is damn a lot. So even if we have a printer at home, time-consuming (for ink-jet printers) and waste our ink and money! SO, we have reasons :)

25 July 2010

Quick Updates

Argh! My project deadlines are so suffocating for me because there are 3 individual essays to be submitted in the same week. That week is the first week of Youth Olympic 2010, duh! So which essay should I start first?!

Alright, I am going back to TP to print my research with Elvina and Sharon tomorrow. I wanna start doing all my essays as soon as possible, so that I won't rush for last minute work. I am already counting down to the submission dates - 10th August, 19th August and 20th August...and so on...there are more project deadlines in September as well.

Gleee~ I attended Elvina's 21st birthday party at Clark Quay yesterday. She booked 3 rooms at Jumbo Restaurant and we had our lunch buffets there... Yup, I have uploaded the photos in Facebook because Blogspot is a bit too lag for me to upload photos.

Okay, that's all I wanna update :)

21 July 2010

A new tactic used by LOANSHARKS boo!

It was such an eventful day for me (and my family) yesterday. In the afternoon when Mummy was back from work, she passed me all the letters which were sent to me. Out of my curiosity, I opened a letter which did not state the receiver's name, and I was so shocked to see 2 pieces of INCENSE PAPERS and an A4-size mailer. Of course, Mummy and I were so scared, as we thought that something eerie happened to us. Haha guess what the mailer was about... This mailer was written by the loansharks! Fuck man! And the person who owed them money is our neighbour who lives at 7th floor (FYI, we live at 10th floor). At first, I thought that the loansharks are blind or what...because the envelope stated our address/unit number but the mailer stated another address/unit number/neighbour's name.

Alright, since I was going out to meet Baby, I decided to make a trip to police station. Despite that I lost my voice, I tried my best to give my statements to the police officer. While halfway through recording my statement, there's an Uncle who came to police station to report on the same case. HAHAHA, imagine our whole block is receiving the same mailers! I can only say that the loansharks are getting innovative in chasing their debtors. Anyway, what they are trying to do is that they want to make us to detest this person and give him pressure to pay back what he owed.

Seriously, we were damn irritated by what the loansharks had done. Last year, our door was being splashed by the paint. Last few months in this year, the whole block's letterboxes were splashed by the yellow paint. And now, we received such a terrible mailer. So what's next?

Okay, I shall stop my story on THE LOANSHARKS here.

After the trip to police station, I went to Bugis to meet Baby for dinner. While he was waiting for me (I was late for 1 hour due to the long interview with the police officer), he went to look for his friend for chit-chat. When I reached Mos Burger restaurant, they were still chatting about soccer things. Their chat ended when his friend received a call from his office.

As usual, I always crave for PASTA so we went to Pastamania for our dinner. After dinner, we went to Iluma. We checked the time slots for movies and decided to catch a movie to kill our time. Yup, we watched INCEPTION :) Oh well, a little complicated for me to understand the storyline HAHAHA! Home-sweet-home after movie, as Baby is working on the morning shift for the next day.

18 July 2010

ON DIET!

It's time for me to control my diet~

From tomorrow onwards, I shall eat one full meal per day and eat healthy snacks whenever I am hungry. NO MORE deep-fried food for me during my lecture breaks! NO MORE McDonald lunch for me!

I MUST LOSE at least 2kg in 1 month!

08 July 2010

Donald Duck - my new love :)

Updates on my shopping hauls

Remember I mentioned that I bought BeneFit products from GMarket recently? Haha, here are the products I bought and I have tried it out :)

This product is really FANTASTIC, as it really makes my concealer stay for the whole day. However, I cannot apply too much because it is too fair for my skin tone. It still works best even though I apply it sparingly.

Guess what it is consist of...
.
.
.
.
.
.
.

When I first received this, my first reaction was WOW! It comes with a mirror! I really love it :)

Anyway, I am a satisfied customer. Since last year, I have been buying a lot of things from GMarket. The things sold there are 3As - Authentic, Affordable (cheaper than you buy from retail stores) and A* quality. However, the bad thing is that I can't stop clicking "add to cart" or "buy now". Those click-clicks can cause me bankrupt!

Last Friday, I met CY and XY for dinner and singing. I spent the great night out with them :) Although we seldom meet up, we still have a lot of things to chat. We went singing at Cash Studio at Bedok Interchange after we had our dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market at Whitesands. It was so surprising that the services given by Cash Studio staff were great and friendly. They welcomed us when the moment we were at their doorstep, and it made us feel like we are the VIPs. As we were the first-time customers, they guided us on using their karaoke systems and etc. I will definitely go there again, for their good services and its affordable prices for singing :)
Okay, I spent money on 2 pairs of shoes last Sunday when I was out with Baby. Alright, Baby shook his head and was "impressed" that I bought 2 pairs of shoes at one shot. Haha, women never have enough shoes and bags, right? Simple shoes for me to wear to school :)

It's time for me to save and scrimp on my spendings now :)

29 June 2010

Shopaholic!

It's just 3 days after I got my pay, and I had almost spent all my money. Seriously, I really need to control myself from buying things. For the last 3 days, I spent my money on:
- Guess wallet;
- Charles & Keith bag;
- Cache Cache shirt;
- BeneFit Stay Don't Stray
- BeneFit Confessions of A Concealaholic
- Ecotools cosmetic brushes
- Skin79 Hot Pink Super + BB Cream
and etc etc... my shopping list is never ending and my pay is definitely not enough to satisfy my wants and needs. Mummy was damn shocked when she heard that I spent all my money in 3 days. She asked me, "You really spent all your money?" and I answered proudly, "YA!". LUCKILY, the government is giving us $200 in 2 more days! Haha alright, so how am I going to survive with such little allowances for the next 5 months in SIM?

When will my parents strike TOTO/4D and win big money ahhhh~?

17 June 2010

Birthday wishes from my friends ♥

Okay, I am going to update on how I spent my birthday. So I spent my birthday by having simple dinner with Baby at the restaurant located at Century Square.

This restaurant serves local dishes which are quite similar to Tzi Char. If I did not remember wrongly, it was our second or third time eating at this restaurant. Anyway, we ordered and tried different dishes.

Boiled Peanuts
(It serves to us while looking at menu and waiting for our orders.)

Soup of The Day - Pork Ribs with Corn Soup

Sambal Kangkong

Sliced Fish with Ginger and Spring Onion

Fried Deer Meat
(I love this but Baby said that it was salty.)

Baby cannot give me a present because his father passed away this year (It's a taboo!) So I told him that he must save his money for my BIGGER present next year. HAHAHA! Of course, a lot of my friends wished me birthday wishes via smses and Facebook.

Vouchers from colleagues
(Sylvia, Eewen, Chelsea, Ven Huey and Wendy Choy)
And ya, I spent it all to buy Charles & Keith bag HAHAHA!

A hand-made birthday card from colleagues
(Jasmine and Rebecca)

I think that's all how I spent my birthday :)
