A recommended book :)

Finally, I have finished reading this thriller novel - The Snow Empress. I did not know that this book is actually the 12th book in the Sano Ichiro series written by Laura Joh Rowland. I randomly picked this novel and borrowed it from the national library just to kill my free time.

I really love the storyline, especially the story sets in the Genroku (AD 1688–1704) of historical Japan. With the historial setting and the mystery of murder case, it made me keep reading and reading.

Hmmm maybe I will try to look for her next novel - The Fire Kimono. Once I start reading fantastic books, I can get addicted :)

Detroit Metal City

I watched DMC with Baby at Vivo City yesterday. The tickets kept selling fast since the launch of movie last week, and yes we only managed to get seated at the 3rd row. This movie is really fantastic and hilarious! Highly recommended movie. Although I am not the fan of Heavy/Death Metal music, I like the humorous storyline of this movie. I am sure that a lot of people took notice of Kenichi Matsuyama since when he acted as "L" in Death Note. Yes I am one of them, and adore his acting skills. He is very natural in acting different roles, be it "L" or the sissy Soichi Negishi.

For Xin Yan: Haha! Your Chinese subtitles are well-done :) because I feel that it is not easy to find some strong words to translate some crude languages (from English to Chinese). Haha, and I realised you skipped the translation of the word "FUCK". LOL!

For people who want to have some good laughs, I recommend you to watch DMC!

Catch up with a good friend :)

It was great to chill out with your good friend~ I met Jia for lunch and job-hunting this afternoon. While we hunted for jobs, we cracked jokes and chatted a lot of things regarding our further studies, our future careers and our friends. She is the best person whom I will look up for when I am having problems.

Talking about further studies, I REGRETTED THAT I DID NOT APPLY FOR NUS! It was because I always have the perception that NUS is only for the top-scorer students. I did not know that as compared to NTU, NUS is less stricter in terms of its acceptance rates. I should have try my luck in applying courses in NUS. Okay, forget it! Now, all I can do is to prepare myself for the interviews in SMU. Although SMU has not call me for interview yet, I need to get myself prepared. It is really competitve because I have to be proactive in answering the interview questions before the others could. From the information I have gathered, there will be 6 interviewees to 1 interviewer. SO? It means that I have to "snatch" to be the first one to answer the questions. Of course, the answers have to be relevant. As for NTU, it will be a miracle if I receive the acceptance letter from them. Perhaps, I can apply UniSIM too, in case I got rejected by SMU and NTU.

HOHOHO! Anyway, if I am rejected by the universities, I may consider working as an air-stewardess. I love travelling around the world and earn a lot of money! Haha!

Hmmm we went to many places in search for jobs today, from Tampines to Pasir Ris, and our last stop is City Hall. Actually we got the jobs at Popular White Sands, however, we only can start work on late April. It means that we still have to slack at home for another month. Wah, I am getting lazier and lazier after slacking at home for too long. My body clock damn screwed up!

Should I take up driving lessons during my free time? However, I have phobia in driving on the road eh! Money is another problem too :(

Alright I shall stop here. Good night everybody~

Dogs ♥

After watching Hotel For Dogs at Vivo City with Baby yesterday, I have a urge to have a pet dog :) They are such adorable and loyal pets. We supposed to watch Detroit Metal City, but the tickets were selling fast. We did not regret that we changed our choice to Hotel For Dogs, for it is such a sweet movie with happy ending :)

But of course, we are going to watch Detroit Metal City next week. It's a must movie for me to watch because I adore Ken'ichi Matsuyama!

I have successfully made Oreo Cheese Cake :D

I gave my share to Baby when he came my house yesterday. He was so sweet that he accompanied me while I played mahjong with my friends. Although he did not know how to play mahjong, he still sat beside me for 4 hours without thinking it was boring. Like my brother said, "If I were him, I rather go home and sleep". Yada yada, this is my not-so-sweet kind of brother he is.

For the past few days, I have been hanging out with my friends because I have not found a job yet. Although I got some news from the companies, I rejected them because of the work locations such like Novena. Can you imagine what time I am going to wake up to travel from Tampines to Novena everyday. Somehow, I also feel lazy to work.

Yes, anyway my current job is PART-TIME GAMBLER cum SCHEDULE PLANNER (for daily activities for every week) hahaha!

Happiness ♥

I received my examination results this afternoon. Even though I am glad that I have maintained the grades for my 2 electives, I am not satisfied with my FYP grade. This grade pulled down my GPA of 3.23 to 3.22 like WTF! People kept telling me "0.01 only nia, what's the difference", but I still feel very pissed off. If given a choice, I would rather maintain my GPA of 3.23 than letting it drop. Now, I have to worry about the chances of getting into local universities. Perhaps, I should start consider about my career now.

Alright, forget it!

Last night, I chatted with Baby in msn from night till midnight. We talked a lot of things regarding relationships, getting our own HDB flat, the inferior designs of our house and many more. Yar, it may be just TALKS only but I am happy that Baby has the ideas of his future WITH ME. I doubt my ex-boyfriends got these kinds of ideas. He shared a lot of his past experiences with me and I feel that I got to know the inner him better :)

I came across this quote last few days..."Happiness will lost its meaning if there is no unhappiness in it". Cool uh?

What a packed holiday!

For the past few days, I have been hanging out with Baby and my friends. Oh well, this is what I called HOLIDAY! However, it will be good if I have a lot of money with me so that I can spend more on food or shopping. Honestly, I really don't feel like searching for jobs even though I need money desparately for my shopping desires. Alright, maybe I should just call my Aunt for job search because she is working under govenment sector. She might help me to secure an office job. Somemore, Mummy had already told her that I am looking for a job while waiting for my results and the university replies.

Whatever it is, let me enjoy my holiday first :) Maybe I should follow what Ronald said, "packed myself with activities ya". Good idea?

Like what we had done at Matthew's house today...
We played Risks, made our own pizzas, played mahjong (i'm the only winner woot!), had supper at the coffeeshop and home-sweet-home.

Next up, Badminton Session in school with them on Tuesday and Mahjong Session at Jay's house on Thursday. So, this is my current activity plan for this week :)

Okay, it's time to sleep. Good night/morning everyone!

5N1/5N2 Class Gathering 2009

06.03.09 Friday

TPSS 5N1/5N2 Class Gathering @ Tiong Bahru Plaza was really fantastic. Although there weren't many people turned up, we still enjoyed ourselves. Oh well, initially I felt very lazy to travel to Tiong Bahru and luckily I managed to drag myself out of my doorstep. We had our steamboat dinner at Rajah Inn and it was yummy yummy! However, their services were a bit slow because there were too many customers for them to handle. And we also enjoyed placing the orders non-stop LOL because the guys are big-eaters!

We took a lot of pictures, however, I do not want to post all the pictures which might flood my blog entry. Now, I am waiting for other people to send me the pictures from their cameras.

Although most of them did not change much, there are certain people who changed a lot and I am not sure that it is good or bad. Of course, I will not mention who they are. Anyway, all the best to them :)

Alright, we went back to E!Hub for movie after dinner. We splited ourselves into 2 groups which were watching different movies - Kungfu Chef and Coming Soon. Oh well, I belonged to Kungfu Chef group, and this movie isn't that nice lar. Then home-sweet-home after movie~

Out with my cliques :)

Whee! I enjoyed my day eating and playing with Baby and my friends yesterday. Actually we planned to go Sentosa to have fun, however i was thinking that it might rain so they cancelled the trip. Who knows, the weather is damn good lar. Anyway, we went to Settler's Cafe to play board games after our lunch at Hot Tomato (at PS). Baby were playing Risks with my guy friends while I played other games with the rest. I am happy to see that Baby is able to communicate with my friends after the games.

Kris with the Taboo Doll

Double the level!

TALL enough?

Finally fall off!

My bone hut :)

SMILE! (Baby was the cameraman :P)

Next, we had our dinner and dessert at Bugis Street. Baby told me that his diet plan blew up LOL yeah it was true! Haha, we really ate a lot last night. Hui Hui and Min Xing went to buy these 2 fruit strudels from Ritz for belated birthday celebration of Ronald and Kai Han.

We were at outside National Library at Bugis, celebrating their belated birthday.

Kai was cutting his Mango Strudel

Ronald was cutting his Strawberry Strudel

I love that Strawberry Strudel, it is really yummy!

Then we stayed there, chatting for about 2 hours before home-sweet-hom e. :)

HAPPY 1st MONTH ANNIVERSARY
TO BABY AND I
